  • Qualified medical staff are available 24 hours a day to provide general medical information and advice via telephone.
  • When you call the Telephonic Emergency Medical Advice and Assistance Hotline, operators will:
    • guide you through a medical crisis situation;
    • provide emergency medical advice; and
    • arrange the support you require via the Medical Emergency Alarm Centre
  • During the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, there is much uncertainty and misinformation – clinicians are on standby to answer your concerns
  • Get guidance on symptoms and discover screening centers/protocols
  • Advice may save the costs of a consultation fee for simple diagnoses and prevent a visit to hospital or doctor’s rooms where the risk of infection increases
  • In cases of medical emergencies, a dedicated hotline ensures that you or those around you get guidance to respond in the most effective, life-saving manner.
  • Dedicated Medical Emergency Alarm Center – ensures that the most appropriate professional medical response is activated quickly

Emergency Medical Response to the scene of a Medical Emergency (Primary Response)

  • Emergency Medical Transportation – Pre-hospital
    • In the event of your involvement in a Medical Emergency, we will arrange and pay for Emergency Medical Transportation where required
  • In the instance of a Medical Emergency, an appropriate road and/or air response will be undertaken utilising an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle or a helicopter whichever is the most medically appropriate – aoo of which are manned by appropriately qualified and experienced emergency care practitioners, paramedics or doctors. Such transport will be dispatched to the scene of a Medical Emergency where appropriate lifesaving support will be provided. If necessary, you will be stabilised before Emergency Medical Transportation is provided.
